Em decorrência da abertura restrita da sede dada a epidemia do novo coronavírus (COVID-19), os aeroviários deverão enviar dados bancários para depósito (conta corrente e pix) e cópia do RG para o e-mail administrativo@aeroviarios.org.br. Seja na urna fixa na sede da entidade ou nas urnas que estarão rodando pelo Salgado Filho, os trabalhadores poderão votar para o próximo período de gestão da entidade. Ainda no mês de janeiro de 2022, a TAP ME anunciou o fechamento da sua unidade de manutenção de aeronaves no Rio de Janeiro. A empresa, que faz parte do Grupo TAP que continuará voando no Brasil, informou em comunicado que este fechamento faz parte de uma reestruturação. Frente ao fechamento, o Sindicato dos Aeroviários de Porto Alegre vem informar a sua categoria sobre sua posição.
